**The Opportunity**

Kite Packaging have a brilliant opportunity for a Buyer to join their Letchworth team. Kite Packaging was founded in 2001 with a unique vision and a philosophy of employee-ownership. We were a true greenfield start up and have grown quickly to be the 2nd largest packaging distributor in the UK. In the past year Kite has been awarded ‘Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies in the Midlands’ and ‘The Sunday Times Track 100 Fastest Profit Growth in the UK’.

Our growth has consistently been the best in our sector, and we are continually investing in our business and our greatest asset is our ‘people’. Turnover in 2021 was £140m and our growth continues to accelerate.

You will be joining an established, profitable, growing technology-backed business and will be part of a purchasing team based in Letchworth.

**The role of Buyer**:
The role will specifically cover the following areas:

- Managing stock levels in conjunction with Internal Account Managers
- Placing orders, and day to day dealing with suppliers
- Processing enquires to exacting customer requirements in conjunction with account managers
- Supporting the internal team with effective account management

**Key Skills and Essential Experience**:

- Have experience within a commercial or purchasing environment
- Be educated to degree level ideally
- Be highly motivated
- Have excellent communication skills
- Possess commercial awareness and entrepreneurial flair
- Have experience of distribution/purchasing/supply chains/ imports
