Self Employed Dog Walker

Looking for an experienced dog walker to join a small but successful company based in Wheathampstead. This is a part time role initially with the potential to build up to full time. Job position is to work between Monday to Friday 9.30am-2.15pm and to help with holiday cover when needed.

You need to love and understand dogs as the position does require a person who is confident with all breeds. Looking for someone who can be flexible and show initiative and also take direction, work within the team and follow policies that are outlined. The safety and welfare of our dogs must be your priority at all times.

You will be required to pick up dogs from their homes and drive to locations to walk, with a group of up to 4 dogs for an hours walk.

Responsibilities and duties
- Passion for dogs and their development
- A suitable car or van large enough to carry dog crates is essential
- Previous experience working with dogs is desirable
- Have an understanding of pet care requirements
- Confident to work alone and part of a team
- Must be able to work come rain or shine
- Personable, engaging and energetic
- Highly organised, and forward thinking and self motivated
- Excellent communication skills
- Full UK clean driving licence
- Relevant qualifications in pet care is desirable

You must live close to Wheathampstead.
