**About you**

What’s needed for the role:

- Hold a professional surveying qualification or working towards one.
- Knowledge of building regulations, CDM 2015
- Numerate and ICT literate, including word, excel and power point to intermediate level. Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Networking skills and able to work collaboratively internally and externally.
- Demonstrates an understanding of customer needs and a customer centred approach to work.
- Full UK driving licence and car owner.
- Experience of the construction sector and all aspects of surveying.
- Production of technical reports on defect, designs, the progress of contracts, property condition reports and measured surveys.
- Ability to analyse problems in order to identify solutions.
- Experience of working in the housing sector

**What you’ll do**

Deliver a high quality professional internal surveying service to a standard expected of a Chartered Surveyor. All surveyors are expected to be members of a professional body and adhere to performance levels set out by the governing body. Being specialists in Construction and Property all surveyors.

**What you’ll be responsible for **
- Working in multi discipline teams to deliver a high quality, customer-focussed, cost-effective housing area-based planned maintenance programme.
- Ensuring retrofit schemes comply with current regulations and PAS2035.
- Ensuring compliance with all Legislation relating to Health and Safety at Work and implementing and maintaining safe working practices on sites.
- Verifying an annual spend of circa 15-20 million. Confirming planned programmes have been completed and payments can be issued in accordance with the NEC contracts.
- Ensuring written technical reports are prepared and provided on the progress of contracts, property condition reports, fire risk, leasehold, insurance and other specialist on a regular basis to Senior Management.
- Preparing accurate specification of works required as necessary for all types of work, including identification of works to be recharged.
- Providing innovative designs and specification’s that ensures Trivallis can offer customers quick quality housing.
- Ensuring all work is to the required standard and in accordance with the contract/order documentation.
- Ensuring all snagging schedules are prepared and defects remedied in a timely manner and to the customers satisfaction.
- Agreeing contract variations within the approved scheme of delegations.
- Liaising with customers on site as necessary, including dealing with technical queries and complaints.
- Monitoring costs against budgets/estimates for works responsible for. To ensure work is carried out within the set budget.
- With other surveyors and the team manager, contributing to service plans and policies and procedures with a view to improving efficiency.
- Ensuring individual personal development plans are in place, updated and actioned.
