Warehouse Operative

**The Role**

**Hourly Rate: £13.49 + £0.91 Shift Premium**

**Shift Pattern: Double Days**

Hain Daniels are currently recruiting for a Cold Store FLT Operative at the Histon site.

At Histon, we manufacture a host of ambient sweet spreads and jellies for our grocery brands.

These includes Hartley's jams and jellies, Gale's honey, Rose's and Robertsons marmalade's.

**Safety, Quality, Hygiene**
- Conform to H&S requirements
- Undertake a clean as you go policy.
- Ensure that all spillages are cleaned as soon as they happen.

**Operations**
- Loading vehicles.
- Picking orders / stock taking
- Operate M3 RDT system

**Continuous Improvement**
- Proactively enable area managers to drive and manage the use of CI techniques and philosophy across the site.
- Deliver continuous improvement projects from ideas generation to completion.
- Track effects of improvement projects and report on progress.
- Responsible for achieving personal development objectives.

**Communication**
- Ensure all employees receive monthly briefings relevant for their area and attendance/feedback is recorded - arrange catch-up briefings for those absent.
- Communicate on a regular basis with Union representatives to keep updated with business position and requirements.
- Actively support site wide briefings.
- Liase closely with colleagues within and across function regarding improvement.
- Meet daily / weekly and monthly with Departmental Manager and FLM’s to review progress against KPI’s and improvement project process. Also ensure priorities are communicated.
- Work closely with support functions (HR,Technical, Logistics, Site Engineering and Finance) ensure support required is communicated and all outstanding issues resolved.

Schedule:

- Histon: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- CPCS (preferred)
