Barista/bartender

**Key roles and shifts**:
Weekends - 9.00 AM - 19:00 PM

**Responsibilities**:

- Greeting customers in a friendly and happy manner
- Welcoming customers by determining their beverage interests and needs
- Presenting the variety of beverage options
- Advising on the best beverage choices for each customer and answering questions
- Taking drinks orders at the counter accurately
- Preparing and presenting beverages according to established recipe and presentation standards
- Promoting accompanying food items
- Recording and accurately processing purchases using the registering system
- Collecting and processing payments from the customer
- Complying with beverage and health, safety and hygiene guidelines and regulations
- Checking the quality of the drinks and resolving any issues
- Delivering orders to the table deftly and accurately
- Verifying that customers are happy with their orders and checking if they need additional items
- Maintaining inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar
- Restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies
- Keeping equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic work area
- Dismantling and cleaning machinery as needed
- Displaying merchandise in an attractive and functional manner
- Stocking inventory according to storage requirements
- Completing opening and closing duties for each shift
- Attending to the tables and guaranteeing compliance to cleanliness standards
- Working with other wait staff as a team
- Working diligently to achieve outstanding service quality
- Attending scheduled team or shift meetings
- Any other reasonable duties as and when required

**Technical Knowledge and Skills**
- Proven work experience as a barista, bartender, wait staff member
- Working knowledge of cash register and any ordering information system
- Experience with coffee making equipment
- Working knowledge of all forms of coffee and standard beverage recipes
- Good knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Basic numeracy and money-handling skills
- Able to lift and carry moderate amounts of weight
