**Operations Transport Administrator**

The Hargreaves Logistics business, has an annual turnover of circa £35m, employs circa 130 staff and operates a fleet of walking floors, tippers and rigids, providing bulk logistics solutions to its customers in the waste, agricultural and minerals sectors. In addition, the team operates a small fleet of double deck trailers that provide clinical waste collection services.

Operating out of Esh Winning, near Durham, the business provides services across the UK, from several operating centres, the 2 largest being at Esh Winning & Great Heck (near Selby).

The Operations Transport Administrator would be based at our Head Office in Esh Winning, near Durham and is responsible for providing administration support to the logistics business. If you are seeking a role with flexibility and variety, then this may be the role for you. There is no requirement for experience in working in a Transport office, as full training would be given.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities:

- Ensuring that the Internal systems and processes are completed in support of the Transport Operation;
- Maintain and update internal invoicing & planning system
- General administrational support to the Operations Manager
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
- Client queries
- Direct liaison with clients, drivers, and sub-contractors
- Invoice and query resolution

Person Specification:

- Excellent attention to detail.
- Organised and focus
- Experience of working in a transport office is desired but not essential
- The ability to take responsibility and be accountable for your actions.
- Strong organisation and administrative skills and an ability to prioritise tasks in a timely manner.
- The ability to problem-solve
- Self-motivated with a positive and pro-active approach.
- The ability to work accurately whilst adhering to tight deadlines
- A strong awareness of customer service; able to balance the needs of own business with customer requirements;
- Initiate, execute and embrace new methods of work and projects.
- A quick learner who’s flexible and willing to help where needed.
- Able to work on own initiative and manage own workload.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office; particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player.
