Lean Facilitator

This role is based on our Macclesfield site (UK)

Join AstraZeneca as a Lean Facilitator, a pivotal role that fosters a culture of continuous improvement within our organization. Championing and embedding Lean methodologies across various levels, you'll make the AstraZeneca Supply System (AZSS) meaningful and applicable to all team members. This role is instrumental in driving operational excellence and aligning activities with the strategic objectives of the business.

**Accountabilities**:
As a Lean Facilitator, you will work effectively with multiple levels within the organization, including the leadership team, to promote a Lean attitude.
- Engage with the wider Lean team across UK Operations to share best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of the Lean strategy and take ownership of assigned workstreams.
- Actively seek improvements to Quality Management Systems in collaboration with the Quality Facilitator, ensuring alignment with Safety, Health & Environment/Good Manufacturing Practice/Information Systems.
- Provide input during regulatory inspections, offering expertise in areas of specialty as required.
- Foster a strong knowledge base within the business unit on AZSS by leading initiatives and promoting the adoption of appropriate behaviors.

**Essential Skills/Experience**:

- Demonstrated industry-related experience in Lean/Six Sigma projects and programs
- Experience in process & project management and improvement

**Desirable Skills/Experience**:

- Six Sigma Green Belt training and/or certification from an accredited external Quality program
- Understanding of Good Automated Manufacturing Practice, current Good Manufacturing Practice and regulations as defined by local regulatory bodies
