Hotel Night Porter

Person required to host the hotel throughout the night time.

A standard shift currently starts at 10pm and runs through the night with a finish time of 8am. Hours per shift may vary at times.

The hotel is open throughout the year, therefore this position is permanent and all year round.

As standard, this position is for a rolling three nights on, three nights off rota so will work three nights some weeks, four nights others........ plus holiday cover etc

Alternatively, this job could suit someone who is looking for two nights a week only so can be either part time or closer to full time. (being 30 hours per week average)

The job will involve bar work, money handling, general cleaning tasks, polishing cutlery, answering telephones, being helpful to guests and customers, vacuuming, function room turn arounds, moving and carrying of tables, chairs and suitcases on departure days, basic resets, basic computer work and telephone call handling etc

This position would suit a person who is happy and comfortable to work alone and independently as well as enjoying some social contact with others. The successful person would be working on their own throughout the night time.

The working week would include some weekend work, some bank holidays and festive periods.

Bar and money handling experience would be preferred.

Previous experience of working night times would be an advantage but not essential.
