Tradewind, a leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Worker to join our dynamic team at the ASC Unit in Warrington. As a Learning Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support and care to students with ASC, helping them unlock their full potential and achieve their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create personalised learning plans for students with ASC.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort during the learning process.
- Assist students with tasks, activities, and assignments, tailoring your approach to individual needs and abilities.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and engagement.
- Utilise your understanding of ASC to support students in managing sensory needs and emotional regulation.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and offer constructive feedback to promote positive behaviour.
- Track and monitor student progress, reporting any significant developments to the relevant team members.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and stay up to date with the latest practices in ASC support.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) is highly desirable.
- A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with educators and other support staff.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and adapt your support strategies accordingly.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

To be considered for this position you will:

- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
- have satisfactory references
- have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
