Couture Seamstress Wanted

Situated on Leith Street for over 35 years, Emma Roy has always prided itself on excellent service and quality bridalwear. Our in-house alterations department currently has over 60 years of combined experience leaving our clients confident that their gowns will be altered to the highest standard.

Our talented seamstresses are specialists in altering, customising, and re-styling of bridal and evening wear. Throughout the alterations process, our client's gowns should be treated with the utmost care and as one of our seamstresses, you will be happy to talk your bride through any concerns.

Due to expanding business, we are looking for an experienced bridal seamstress to join our team. This job is open on a part-time/freelance basis with more hours potentially available.
- At least 2 years proven experience in bridal alterations and fittings or 2 years haute couture experience.
- Ability to work as part of a team and work under pressure.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Be able to complete work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a very high standard and finish.
- Ability to creatively problem-solve and create options for clients that require bespoke design changes.
- An eye for detail and precision
- Liaise with our brides in a friendly and professional manner.

You will be working on-site at our shop in Leith Street and will have full use of our seamstress department equipment including, industrial machines and irons.
