**Key Responsibilities**:_
- **Work 1:1 with a pupil with complex SEN needs** to complete work set by their teacher.
- **Think proactively **to **anticipate and overcome barriers **to learning**.**:

- **Support emotional regulation** and help the pupil to **maintain focus** on classwork.
- Use your knowledge of the pupil in question to **provide an personal approach to learning rooted in their interests and passions.**:

- **Liaise effectively with colleagues** to ensure an effective support plan is put in place.
- **Monitor and document progress, providing a daily handover** for the class teacher.
- **Manage behaviour effectively,** helping the pupil in question make the right choices and progress academically/personally.
- **Requirements**:_
- **Qualification(s) in supporting teaching and learning are highly advantageous**.
- **Experience working with SEN children / challenging behaviour** **is** **essential**.
- **Patience, empathy, strong communication skills**:

- A genuine **passion for helping students overcome educational barriers.**:

- **An enhanced DBS on the update service **_**OR**_ **willingness to obtain.**
