**Job Introduction**:
The Bid Writer will work as part of the London based Commercial Support
Team which has responsibility for all new and retention business tendering
activity across the G4S Risk Management business. Current business
covers Iraq, Somalia, UK and parts of Africa (there is not a requirement for
the post holder to travel to these locations). The role of the employee is
under guidance to, write clearly, succinctly and convincingly in a structured
and methodical manner. In addition, as part of the Marketing Support,
develop company marketing material

**Role Responsibility**:

- Participate as part of the Commercial Support Team to help develop and refine win

strategies and win themes;- Develop key Bid documents to support the various stages of the Bid Process;
- Systematically work through the logic and rationale of solutions to ensure that they can be

easily understood by the customer in written format;- Take a leadership role in advising the project team on how best to present and articulate

our solutions;- Write compelling benefits-led content using bid writing best practices. Work closely with
- appealing and persuasive;- Build excellent relationships with the broader business teams and senior business

representatives- Support the timely production, collation and distribution of accurate bid documentation;
- Contribute to the design and production of bid presentation documents and manage

version control process;- Manage a bid library and co-ordinate version management of key project tools and

documents ensuring appropriate records are securely kept for reference;
- Design and produce presentation documents;
- Monitor portal activity to identify opportunities for all business units within the G4S Risk

Management Group.- Analytical mind, evidenced through degree or equivalent level study;
- 1-3 years’ experience working in a commercial or corporate security environment;
- Specialist writer - first class writing skills. Very strong communication and influencing skills;
- Excellent commercial thinking to understand the client's needs and business issues;
- Ability to work with staff at all levels;
- Excellent IT skills, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint and Google Workspace;
- A background in Graphics design or exposure to designing Social Media content desired;
- Proven ability to work under pressure and with other people;
- Attention to detail;
