Fire Risk Assessor

We are an independent team of Fire Safety and Health & Safety Consultants based in the heart of the West Midlands. Working with clients of all shapes and size across England and Wales.
We're looking to add an additional Fire Risk Assessor/ Safety Consultant to our team as a result of continuous growth within the organisation.
As the role is customer-facing, additional to a professional manner and presentable appearance, a confident and personable nature is essential.
As a relatively small team, the right person must be friendly and approachable and contribute positively to our work environment. This is a great opportunity for someone to join a small but ambitious company and grow in the role as the company expands.
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment or better (NEBOSH, FPA, IFE)
- 2 years relevant experience
- Level 3 health & safety qualification (NEBOSH) is desirable but not essential
- Membership of a professional body such as the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) and/or the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE)
- Understanding and interpretation of legislation, British Standards & other guidance documents.
- Full clean driving licence

A keen interest in the delivery of exceptional customer service is an essential attribute in order to be successful in this role. High levels of literacy and verbal & written communication skills are required. You must be tenacious, ambitious and demonstrate a willingness to succeed.

- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a good telephone manner.
- Able to present themselves commensurate with their audience.
- **Must** be IT literate with a good understanding of the Microsoft office suite, outlook.
- Ability to work as a team or independently to achieve the desired goals.
- Have an ability to read, understand and interpret complex legislative documents and guidance documents such as British Standards etc.
- This is a full-time role which involves UK travel with some overnight stops. Therefore, flexibility is an important factor.
**Key responsibilities**:
Completion of fire risk assessments & reviews on a wide range of property types including residential, commercial and industrial via a bespoke App.
Maintaining client relationships by providing support, information and guidance.
To consistently meet and exceed KPI expectations in terms of workflow, customer relation activities and growth in line with company ethics.
Contributing to the team effort by taking part in and accomplishing related tasks as required.
- Provide administration support to the business ensuring the company achieve targets, fulfil its own standards and client needs.
- Participate in regular meetings when required to report on relevant matters to support growth, improvement and challenges.
**Hours**: 8.30 to 4.30 Monday-Friday, although some additional hours may be required during busy times. Estimated 2 or 3 days out on site with 2 or 3 days in our office based in Hartlebury.
**Remuneration**: Base salary of £30,000 to £40,000 p.a. depending on experience; company vehicle, laptop and mobile phone, pension scheme, employee assistance program, career development opportunities.
**Holidays**: 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, raising to 25 days plus bank holidays dependant on time served.
**Location: Hartlebury, Worcestershire. **Based in a friendlyand relaxed entrepreneurial office atmosphere located on a trading estate in Hartlebury. Free parking is available.
**Salary**: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
