Accounts Senior (Part Qualified)

Upto £30,000 dependant on experience plus support to become qualified

Butler rose are partnered with a multi-disciplined professional services company, including Chartered Accountants, Tax Advisers, Financial Planners, and Legal professionals, with multiple offices across various locations. My client is expanding and offers opportunities for career development and training.

The role of an Accounts Senior is to provide a first-class service to clients and support a busy accountancy practice by:

- Overseeing client bookkeeping.
- Managing and taking responsibility for a portfolio of clients.
- Preparing complex company financial statements.
- Preparing interim management accounts.
- Preparing personal tax returns.
- Preparing partnership accounts and returns.
- Reviewing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
- Handling forecasts and business projections (not essential).
- Attending client meetings and interacting with directors and business owners.
- Training staff and allocating duties.
- Handling company secretarial duties (desirable).
- Preparing P11ds (desirable).
- Having payroll experience (desirable).
- Performing other general accountancy/administrative work as required.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- At least 4 years of experience in an accountancy practice environment is required.
- Experience with software such as Sage 50, Xero, Quickbooks (essential), and knowledge of Iris and Sage Business Cloud (advantageous).
- Strong attention to detail, time management, communication, and technical skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information and maintain strong record-keeping.
- Willingness to work extra paid hours as needed.
- Training towards ACA/ACCA qualifications is expected.
