We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Leadership Team in the key role of **Regional Production Manager**. This is a high profile role within UK brick manufacturing and we are looking for an inspirational leader and natural coach to engage and empower our Factory Teams, embedding the Ibstock Manufacturing System (IMS)to capitalise on our existing good foundations and deliver world class standards of manufacturing efficiency.

The role holder will enable the continuous improvement and evolution of factory performance by developing a deep understanding of the current reality, and developing a practical approach to improvement, engaging the Factory Managers and their teams in thisjourney. Working with an experienced Production Management Team you should have a proven track record of delivering improved performance through the combination of people and process, with an in-depth knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques.You will demonstrate a “safety first” culture whilst meeting all of our manufacturing KPIs and ensure the customer is at the heart of all we do.
Specific responsibilities include:
Leadership
Create an environment where the health, safety, environmental and wellbeing of colleagues must be the absolute priority and where high standards are expected.
Visible leadership and engagement of your team of Factory Managers to develop a culture of high performance through effective goal setting, regular reviews, individual and team development plans and effective coaching.
Strong influencing skills demonstrated through values based leadership and role modelling positive leadership behaviours.

People:

Coach and develop your team to maximize their strengths and develop to close any development gaps.

Strategy:
Ensure an effective strategy and plan is in place to ensure key operational performance measures are
Developing and delivering major capital projects to support our strategic plans for improving manufacturing capacity and effectiveness across your factories

Operational Excellence:
Ensuring all manufacturing sites adopt the Ibstock Management System (IMS) and deliver their production targets within financial, quality and environmental constraints.
Identification and dissemination of best practice and continuous improvement in all operational areas to maximise wider business benefits.
Ensuring manufacturing sites have long term raw material resource plans to support on-going operations and strategic development.
Ensuring we have a quality right first time approach and an on-going focus to improve the cost of quality and customer satisfaction
Working with factories to ensure we have effective engineering processes in place to maximise factory efficiencies.

Sustainability:
Embedding the Ibstock Sustainability Roadmap into our culture.
Adding to the innovation toward zero carbon footprint.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Extensive experience in a Leadership role, ideally within a multi-site manufacturing environment with a demonstrable track record of delivering improved performance through people.

A formal business leadership qualification (degree or equivalent) would be desirable
The ability to work accurately, independently and efficiently, and to take ownership.
To possess, or be willing to work towards a degree or equivalent in Lean Manufacturing combined with formal qualifications in continuous improvement tools and techniques and an awareness of formal methodology such as Kaizen, value stream mapping, Six Sigma,Root cause analysis, 5S, Standard Work and Visual Management
NEBOSH Certificate (as a minimum) and ideally NEBOSH or British Safety Council Diploma or equivalent.

The ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation with a high degree of written English for Board and Plc level reports combined with comprehensive presentation delivery skills.
