Sheq Advisor

**Morrison Energy Services** **is recruiting for a **SHEQ Advisor** to work on our **SPEN Cable Contract **in **Central Scotland.**

As the SHEQ Advisor you will be part of our SHEQ Team who are responsible for ensuring SHEQ compliance across all elements of our works.

MES are contracted to deliver all elements of cable laying throughout central Scotland until 2026. These works include excavations, backfill & reinstatement of all works inclusive of faults, investment works and general maintenance works.

**As the SHEQ Advisor** **your responsibilities will include**:

- Proactive support of all aspects of SHEQ
- Support compliance against company, client and legislative requirements
- Support development and delivery of the SHEQ Plan and associated process to drive continual improvement
- Support alignment with client/ MES vision and values and performance requirements
- Support SHEQ requirements as a minimum to meet MES and Client standards
- Work closely with all management levels in the SPEN team to effectively deliver SHEQ performance on all projects
- Support the monthly reporting process information, both internally and to clients
- Monitor/review all relevant aspects of SHEQ standards including site inspections
- Assist in the contract competence including the delivery of MES training courses, initiatives, and contract inductions
- Support to any Incident and Accident investigations in in accordance with MES and client requirements
- Assume the Contract SHEQ Manager duties within your competency / knowledge range as requested by the SHEQ Manager
- Willingness to travel throughout Scotland which may occasionally including overnight stays

**Skills & Knowledge Requirements**
- Knowledge of the utilities and/or construction sector
- Ensure Morrison maintains a positive public image by following good practice and adopting a considerate attitude
- Shows willingness and confidence in engaging with clients and interacting with stakeholders of all levels
- Develops lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties and support the long term business plan
- Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
- Effective communicator and delivers engaging information, both verbally and written
- Support the resolve and/or escalation of issues in a timely fashion
- Active member of the contract team embracing innovation and alternate ways of working
- Visible behavioural Health & Safety

**Education/Qualifications**
- NEBOSH General Certificate - Construction preferred
- Full UK driving license
- CSCS Card or equivalent
