Job Introduction

Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of testers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to foster a high-performance culture.
- Implement innovative methodologies and processes to ensure our testing services are aligned with customer/business needs and enhance team efficiency.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in systems and software development.
- Act as a technical liaison between the development team and other departments, providing technical expertise and support as needed.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day workload for our internal test analysts.
- Prepare/approve Test Approach and Test Plan documents based on the functional and non-functional specifications provided, involving business representatives, developers and technical staff as needed.
- Arrange and conduct Stage Gate meetings to ensure the readiness of software to progress to the next phase;
- Direct daily test execution and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the testing process;
- Encourage knowledge and skill sharing within the team, mentoring team members as needed;
- Develop comprehensive understanding of our systems (POS, Back Office, HHT, Stock Management, SAP, AX, Voice, etc).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team, including process enhancements, tooling improvements, and adoption of new technologies.
- Adhere to the prescribed strategy and plan for specific test phases/sprints, including test preparation, execution, closure, and supporting monitoring and control processes.
- Demonstrable experience with system testing standards and procedures across various testing cycles;
- Experience in interacting with senior stakeholders at Release, Programme and Project Boards;
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end test phases from scoping to execution and production of test completion reports;
- Extensive knowledge of line and resource management;
- Familiarity with Shared Services business processes associated with HR, Finance, Payroll and Procurement;
- Ability to prioritise testing efforts based on business risks and create relevant test plans and scripts;
- Track record of effectively monitoring task progress and delivering detailed reports and statistics;
- Experience with defect logging, tracking, and reporting;
- Knowledge of the stage gate process and owning the testing activities involved;
- Previous experience as a test manager through the full SDLC cycle;
- Experience in a cross-functional team environment, with clearly defined planning and control processes;
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening and providing constructive feedback;
- Strong problem-solving abilities and risk management skills;
