**Assistant Estimator opportunity at The Plus Group**
**Role Overview**
As part of the Pre-Contracts team, you will support the Pre-Contracts Manager and the Commercial Director in managing and coordinating all aspects of tenders from initial enquiry and qualifying job specific information though to breaking down the project once secured to give the Operations Team the allowances to deliver the work. You will be responsible for liaising with customers and sales members to understand their requirements and produce competitive and negotiated quotations for projects ranging from £5,000 to £5,000,000.
**Main Duties and Key Responsibilities**
- Providing accurate and competitive estimates for windows, doors, and fire stopping
- Using internal estimating and take-off systems to accurately cost project/enquiry
- Liaising with the Sales, Marketing and pre-contract teams during the tender process
- Producing sub-contract and material enquires to send out to the supplychain
- Answering sub-contractor and supplier queries and appraising quotations
- Checking tender documents, making amendments where required
- Abstracting information into labour, plant and material packages
- Sending enquiries to sub-contractors and suppliers for tenders and live projects
- Adhere to company Health & Safety Policy
- Assist the Senior Estimators with their main duties in whatever format this may take
- Collating information and preparing enquiry packs ready to be priced.

**Essential Competencies for the Role**
