Job Description Summary

To manage and assist in leading the provision of Technology Business and Service Managment supporting all LBGs systems and services, meeting the needs of the wider group and enabling LBG to be the best bank for customers. Providing effective and efficient management for a comprehensive and complex, high customer focused function with contribution to the strategic direction of the area. Works with multiple stakeholders, by providing technical management expertise, and supports the group in the resolution of service related and management issues, ensuring appropriate technical prioritisation. Able to continually develop themselves with industry best practice methods and tooling used across their teams and ensures appropriate risk management and reporting. May also include management of internal teams or suppliers, and/or dissemination of expert knowledge to colleagues whilst driving the development of others within the team in line with group strategy & values.

The role purpose

You'll manage and assist in leading the provision of Technology Services supporting all LBGs systems and services, meeting the needs of the wider group and enabling LBG to be the best bank for customers, providing effective and efficient support for a comprehensive and complex, high customer focused function with contribution to the strategic direction of the area. Works with multiple partners, by providing technical expertise, and supports the group in both the leading of development on the ServiceNow platform, and resolution of service-related issues, ensuring appropriate technical prioritisation. Able to continually develop themselves with industry standard methodology methods and tooling used across their teams and ensures appropriate risk management and reporting.

You’ll install and maintain products and services according to Group standards and policies, and to agreed service levels and will assist with the delivery of projects within Integration Business environments. Additionally, you’ll provide technical support (including incident and problem resolution for systems and processes in complex environments) - again this includes out of hours support.

As major investment delivers new or changing services and tools, roles in this area will adjust and reshape over time offering a wealth of exciting opportunity. Principle Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Support and implement changes to the Cyber Vault & future iterations within LBG as required.- Resolution of incidents and problems across the LBG estate in line with LBG KPI’s.- Support testing cycles providing feedback to test managers on results- Provide 24x7 support and provide out of hours support for projects and team workload as required.- Work effectively with the wider Code Deployments & Event Recovery teams to ensure the smooth transition of projects into live service.- Provide consultancy skills to Application teams as required as well as DR and Event Recovery teams, plus CBI (Core Business Infrastructure) owners.- Liaise with 3rd party to help facilitate delivery and implementation of change and future iterations of the Vault.- Make sure that a portfolio of suppliers is delivering required levels of service while reporting to senior colleagues.- Develop product specifications while designing testing procedures and standards.

Key Capabilities/ Knowledge:
Fundamental knowledge of all facets of the Storage landscape - including, but not restricted to:
- MTrees- Data Domains- VTL’s- NetBackup- Spectrum Protect- Dell Powerstore- Linux/Unix (RHEL)- Windows- VXRail- Dell Cyber Vault
- with the ability to support and own these being integral to the role
