London, United Kingdom EDF Limited Full time

**Head of Financial Control & Reporting**

**Are you a successful leader, driven by collaboration, transparency, and integrity? Are you a qualified accountant with proven technical skills and significant post-qualification experience? If so, come and join EDF as Head of Financial Control & Reporting**

**The Opportunity**

Working in Customers, you’ll be contributing to Helping Britain Achieve Net Zero and helping us become a leading player in each of the four markets we operate in - Wholesale, Retail, EDF Business Solutions and Net Zero Home.

We strive to create great customer and employee experiences, building a best-in-class reputation within the markets we operate and are continuously looking to add value. We act with efficiency and resilience in a very competitive and ever-evolving market.

The Financial Control & Reporting (FCR) team is pivotal to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and the integrity of our balance sheet, as well as leading on some value-add services and initiatives.

**Pay, benefits and culture**

Alongside a negotiable salary, depending on experience, and a market-leading pension scheme, we offer a range of flexible benefits to support our people across all aspects of their lives. Your rewards package includes a choice of benefits, such as electric vehicle leasing, enhanced parental leave, health insurance, discounts, and employee pricing.

Flexible working means you can work from home (if you wish) and we’ll provide a suite of IT equipment to ensure that you can work remotely comfortably and effectively. There would be the expectation that you’d travel to ether our Hove or London office 2 days a week, with additional travel to our Exeter office as required.

At EDF, everyone’s welcome. We strive to create an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone has a voice and where you feel confident being yourself. We’re committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.

We’ll value the difference you bring and offer opportunities for you to thrive and succeed.

**What you’ll be doing**

Being Head of Financial Control & Reporting at EDF means being responsible for financial control and reporting within the Customers business, including all the management accounts (income statement, balance sheet and cashflow), KPIs, and the regular forecasts, budgets, and business plans. You’ll also have responsibility for the balance sheet - a key part of which is providing assurance over our revenue calculations.

You’ll be responsible for key accounting judgements and preparing technical papers where required. You’ll have oversight of the annual audit and risk processes, as well as being a key contact for Ofgem matters that impact finance and will have responsibility for adherence to our financial resilience requirements including preparing the Annual Adequacy Self-Assessment.

You’ll support the Retail billing system migration into the Kraken platform, with responsibilities including ensuring transactions are ledgered correctly, the audit trail from the legacy billing system to Kraken is maintained and that we implement the process changes required to calculate our bad debt provisions from Kraken data.

This role has leadership of a Cost business partnering team: this is the team that supports UK Corporate and Customers central functions and is therefore instrumental in managing and reporting a substantial part of the operating cost base. You’ll also be a member of the Customers Finance Leadership Team, meaning you’ll sponsor, lead or be involved in various transformation projects and initiatives. You’ll be collaborating with and influencing key internal and external stakeholders.

**Who you are**

Being Head of Financial Control & Reporting at EDF Customers means being a great leader of people and demonstrating excellent communication skills, with the personal impact to influence senior leaders around the business. You’re able to instil a culture of excellence and high standards amongst those around you and you’re passionate about developing the skills and knowledge of individuals in your team.

You’ll be a qualified accountant with demonstrable significant post-qualification experience and have proven technical skills. Having experience of the energy industry, or a similar regulated consumer facing utilities or telecoms business dealing with mass billing systems and associated data, would be beneficial.

You’re committed to health, safety, wellbeing, and the environment, and carry out your role in a manner that enables us to be a sustainable business - financially, environmentally, and socially.

If this sounds like you then we’d love to hear from you

**Closing Date**

**Join us and together we can help Britain achieve Net Zero
