An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and caring person to join our team in the well established role of dietetic assistant. You will have an interest in food, nutrition, health and patient care, and enjoy working both as part of a team and independently, with appropriate supervision. You must enjoy working with the public and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and IT skills. The Nutrition and Dietetic Department at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a large and friendly department of around 25 staff working across 3 sites (Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester) with excellent support from our 2 secretaries. We have close links with the University of Surrey and the University of Winchester and take dietetic students for A, B and C placements, and support personal development.

The role requires a good understanding of administration work to order to assist the dietitian in preparation for clinics as well as participation in audit projects. The role will also be involved with assisting registered dietitians to provide nutritional care to patients on a range of wards.
