Trainee Spares Engineer

**Spares Engineer Trainee
**Purpose of Role**:
Work directly with the customer to provide an efficient and professional service to ensure all their requirements are met relating to spare parts i.e. spares identification, costing, shipping worldwide. Helping to maintain and increase the revenue of the department.
**Reporting to: Aftermarket Manager**
**Key Responsibilities/Activities**:

- Preparation and submission of quotes at the request of the customer.
- Ensure that all monthly sales targets are met or exceeded.
- Prepare spares list, identify A-B-C category spares parts and cost accordingly.
- Place spares orders on the system.
- Follow up quotations and progress to order where possible.
- Ensure that the order is progressed and shipped on the agreed date.
- Advise the customer of all non compliance issues.
- Provide support to all other members of the Spares team
- Provide holiday and absence cover for Spares departmental members.
- Other duties as may be required
- Interface with other departments to find the details required.
**Competencies/Skills**:

- Good communication skills at all levels
- Computer experience with Excel, Word, Access, CAD and other database systems.
