As Quality Assurance Officer you will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures, ensuring all quality documentation is completed satisfactorily including auto coding whilst always complying with company operating requirements, especially in respect of quality, health, safety & ethics, traceability, product integrity, labelling and company, personal & food hygiene rules and legislation.
- Ensure implementation of food safety and quality policies and procedures
- Using Foods Connected carry out daily GMP audits including in spice room, glass audits, personal hygiene audits, finished product audits, temperature audits, Internal audits, production paperwork audits including gasses, weights, metal detection, foss.
- Collect and prepare samples for taste panels.
- Conduct taste panels as per customer requirements and trend results on a daily basis.
- Carry out daily 5 guys cooking assessments and record finding on Food logistic website.
- Carry out Bakkavor mince fat, gristle and bone assessments for every Bakkavor order.
- Conduct DNA audits - Si entry against Label verification records / mass balances.
- Conduct training for production supervisors on Metal detection, gas and weight checking and Foss operation.
- Maintain and update glass and hard plastics log.
- Weekly calibration of scales and temperature probe.
- Responsible for taking weekly hand swabs, and daily change of species swabs, allergen washdown swabs and start of production ATP swabs.
- Conduct and record random daily checks at all stages of the process from raw materials to finished product e.g. catch weight and fixed weight checks, CCP checks and autocoding checks.
- Carry out customer complaint investigations and report finding and root cause to manager. Ensure corrective actions are recorded and implemented.
- Find production information for DNA traces.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality, food safety, hygiene, ethical, product labelling and allergen handling processes
- Assist in the investigation of customer complaints
- Assist in conducting internal audits
- Collect & log micro samples when required
- Conduct weekly calibration of scales and temperature probes
- Carry out weekly monitoring of pest control trapping boxes.
- Ensure own familiarity and compliance with company policies and procedures, standards of operation and safe operating procedures
- Ensure consistent and timely attendance at work
- Provide flexibility to meet company operating requirements
