**The HireWorks are currently working with a national Rail Freight company to assist with the recruitment of a Business Change Manager.**

This role provides an exciting opportunity to play a vital part in the delivery of the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) transformation activity, proactively preparing the business for the impact of changes being delivered by the programme,ensuring appropriate change and benefit management activities are planned and completed.

You will be implementing and designing key change management practices. You will provide support across key areas of transformation, working alongside project delivery to ensure business changes are coordinated and meet strategic goals.

**Main Responsibilities for the role**:

- Support communication efforts by supporting the design, development, delivery and management of communications.
- Assess the change impact by conducting impact analysis, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders.
- Support training efforts, provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs.
- Ensure the development and business responsibility for benefit profiles and the benefits realisation plan are clearly attributed.
- Identifying, defining and tracking the benefits and outcomes required of the programme. Designing the future operating model ('to-be' state) and ensuring that it is contained and maintained within the programme blueprint.
- Identifying organisation changes that happen outside the boundary of the programme, which may affect the contents of the blueprint.
- Preparing for the transition to ERTMS by following the Management of Change guidance.
- Implementing the mechanisms by which benefits can be realised and measured.
- Monitoring business stability and ongoing capacity to cope with the level of change; this will include acceptable levels of performance variation (deterioration) whilst the change is embedded.
- Implementing new business processes where required.
- Initiating business assurance reviews to ensure that the capabilities are being embedded and established.
- Facilitate Hazard Identification and Risk analysis sessions with areas of the business likely to be impacted by the introduction of ERTMS.
- Identifying the Business Change associated costs and participating in the long term forecast.

**You will require**:

- A proven track record of successful change programmes.
- Experience of working in a change management environment.
- Experience developing benefits management strategies and frameworks to support projects and programmes in evaluating outcomes.
- Experience of working in a transformational environment.
- Ability to plan and monitor business change activities and realisation.
- Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent understanding of programme management.
