**Your Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Field Manager, you will be expected to:

- Prepare, splice, and install small, medium, and large joints for large size cables 48F/96F/72F/144F either underground or overhead.
- Perform underground and overhead cabling including rod and rope, subduct, cable pulling and fibre blowing.
- Complete customer site handover document / process proficiently. Photograph completed fibre distribution points both inside the closure and externally showing position on chamber or on pole.
- Excellently understand the full Fibre design from implementation perspective, assign tasks to teams, fibre splicing matrix analysis and provide responses to technical experts (internal and external at customer side)
- Lead internal and external teams for troubleshooting faults
- Perform acceptance testing using OTDR, light source and power meters
- Work safely using signage and guards
- Give practical demos to new recruits to help them learn the right way.
- Physically fit, able to cope with performing ground works activities and cable pulling
- Adhere to all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies
- Travel would be required to different cities as our project location changes all the time. The company will provide accommodation for the night stay.
- Should be flexible and believes in doing right at first place.
- Has profound knowledge of this work which should be reflected in his working speed.

- Reading Network Maps and drawings
- Processing of required paperwork.
- Take ownership of work orders and report daily progress
- Liaise with team and clients
- Long working shifts in the field with overtime or incentive options based on productivity
- Take proper measures to ensure everyone is safe during work.
- Report as soon as possible if anything is obstructing the work.
- Keep the team motivated and be a good example for them.
- Highlight issues to management that can affect the work or team.
- Should be ready to teach new joiners in the company.
- Is proactive in helping the team if any help is required.

**The Requirements**:

- Worked with project managers to complete network build & installations to specific deadlines.
- Completed inspections to ascertain whether anything is preventing a successful installation.
- Has Communication management and technical management experience with customers and internal technical team.
- Worked with design schematics and works instructions.
- Has knowledge and is efficient in following PIA rules (Physical Infrastructure Access) of the BT Network
- Has excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Fibre splicing experience in BT Openreach ducts, especially with fibre optics cable
- Fibre Blowing experience
- Has minimum fibre experience of 6 months to 3 years with Openreach or Virgin Media or with other fibre network infrastructure building companies in the UK.
- Hold a current trade card : NRSWA, CSCS and EUSR

- Should be willing to work extra including night work and weekends
- Willing to work within distinct locations (accommodation will be provided)
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure paying good attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to take initiative, self-manage workload without supervision
- Essential computer skills
- Van driving experience and a full UK driving license with not more than 6 points
