Overview:
Our Motor Trade Underwriting team here at Gallagher are looking for an experienced underwriter to join our team as an Underwriter on a hybrid basis out of our Stretford office.

**Responsibilities**:

- Determine whether to accept, modify or decline a risk through evaluation of the property's value, location, usage, and safety features, and other information pertinent to the decision.
- Frequent contact with field to gather information on which to base and defend underwriting decisions.
- May provide support to Underwriter Senior in servicing and management of the account.

Qualifications:

- Strong and proven underwriter experience with a good knowledge of Motor Trade risks.
- Holding or working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications, Cert CII, Dip CII or ACII would be an advantage.
- Property and casualty underwriting knowledge would be beneficial.
- Working knowledge Microsoft Excel.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong analytical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eligible to work in the UK
