Poultry Farm Worker

**Roles**:

- Daily walking of poultry sheds to remove fallen stock and cull injured/sick birds
- Maintaining good litter quality by putting shavings out when required
- Following biosecurity procedures
- Checks on equipment
- Keeping control rooms clean and tidy
- Grounds maintenance such as strimming / hedge trimming at certain times of the year
- Help with setting up sheds for next growing cycle
- Operating farm machinery at certain times
- Performing routine maintenance duties

**Requirements**:
Good grasp of English language and basic numeracy
Full driving license
Previous experience working on broiler farms is an advantage but full training will be provided.
Previous experience working with farm machinery beneficial
Comfortable working on his/her own

For biosecurity reasons, the person must not work around any other pigs or poultry

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 25-30 per week

**Salary**: £13.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
PPE will be provided whilst working in poultry sheds.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Abergavenny, NP7 9TN: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
