**Salary**: £9,081 (£24,000 FTE)

**Project Background**

Wellbeing Hub Provision in Skipton

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator to organise and deliver wellbeing sessions for members of the local community, including people living in Skipton, South Craven and surrounding villages.

Our Out of Hours Wellbeing Café is situated at the Soroptimist Club in central Skipton. This project will run for until 21st March 2023, 14 hours per week, 5 hours on Friday evenings (between 5pm and 10pm), 3 hours during the day on Saturdays (between 2pm and 5pm).

The aim of this provision is to create a safe space in our community setting, where people can drop-in and access a range of support and develop ‘community connectedness.’

Our focus is on ‘out-of-hours’ provision because it is recognised that there are less services available at these times for people to seek support.

The Café will be staffed by a Project Coordinator, volunteers and café staff, providing; 1-1 support, a confidential space, staff/volunteers offering a “listening ear”, coffee and chat, individual/group creative arts activities, board games and signposting information and opportunities.

Pioneer Projects staff will deliver creative engagement activities and we plan to offer Key Worker support on a monthly basis.

This initiative builds on the proven model of the daytime Skipton Community Wellbeing Café, and similarly, will form part of the larger Craven Mental Health Framework of local Wellbeing Cafés/Hubs partnering local/grassroots provision with creative engagement and wellbeing support and in-reach mental health services from specialist providers.

This role will involve monitoring project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures, organising and participating in relevant meetings, and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner.

**Job Specification**

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for setting up the new project for delivery, to include:

- Recruitment of volunteers specifically for this project (liaising with the SSIA Volunteer Coordinator) and cafe staff
- Publicising the project and the drop-in sessions locally and with key partner organisations
- Liaising with Pioneer Project staff to arrange training for volunteers and to help prepare for their creative engagement activities
- Setting up the project on the Compass e-Hub,
- Inputting volunteer details, client details and session information on the SSIA Lamplight database
- Conducting Risk Assessments

Once the project commences, the role will involve:

- Ensuring the project is well-supported by volunteers
- Liaising with the instructors and volunteers to ensure a smooth delivery
- Preparing rotas for staff and volunteers
- Chairing and facilitating project-related meetings, distributing minutes to the project team members and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings
- Opening up and preparing the Swadford Centre prior to each session
- Management of volunteers and cafe staff
- Ongoing recruitment and support of volunteers
- Ongoing publicity for the project via social media, traditional media and working with local partners
- Attending all project sessions
- Implementing Safeguarding measures
- Assessing and reviewing project risks and issues, and providing solutions where applicable
- Capturing stories from volunteers, staff and participants for reporting and evaluation purposes
- Monitoring attendance, inputting details of the sessions and attendees onto the Lamplight database
- Regularly reviewing progress and implementing any necessary changes
- Preparing project reports using the Lamplight database and Excel
