West London NHS Trust is looking for a Clinical or Counselling psychologist for long-term health conditions, with a special interest in chronic pain. This is a post created by the formation of Ealing Community Partners, a group of NHS, council and voluntary organisations working together to transform community health and care services within Ealing.

The postholder will play a key role in the Clinical Health and Neuropsychology service. The service provides psychosocial support for adults referred to Ealing Community partners who have a range of conditions including chronic pain, musculoskeletal disorder, diabetes, pulmonary disease, acquired brain injury and neurological disorders.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who will take a lead role in developing a chronic pain pathway for patients referred primarily from musculoskeletal services, but this may also include referrals from other conditions involving pain, such as chronic fatigue. The postholder will offer assessments, oneto-one therapeutic work and will be involved in the delivery of an evidence based pain management programme with the support of a band 7 psychologist and an assistant psychologist who the postholder will supervise.
- Provide evidence-based psychological interventions to individual clients (individual therapy, lead pain management group, and opportunity to build digital intervention)
- Attend regular clinical supervision
- Develop expertise in providing treatment to service users with chronic pain and other comorbid conditions
- Support other mental health and non-mental health colleagues through contributing to education and training
- Offer consultation to MSK physios ad hoc or through joining regular clinic meetings/MDT meetings
- Co-led coproduction
- Co-facilitate or supervise experts by experience in leading peer support group for multiple long-term conditions
- Supervise band 7 psychologist and assistant psychologist or trainee psychologist
- Offer clinical supervision to pain physiotherapist who is line managed by senior MSK physiotherapist
- Offer occasional cover for long-Covid multi-disciplinary meeting

This is a full time post but part time employment may be considered. Annual Leave starts at 27 days a year plus bank holidays. You also get a wellbeing day and birthday leave in addition. Relocation allowance is offered on a reimbursement basis with an upper limit of £8000.

**Main responsibilities include**:
Clinical

1. Offer direct clinical care such as independent or joint assessment with
physio for patients with comorbid long-term health conditions and mental
health conditions
2. Offer individual therapy, group therapy and contribute to the development
of digital interventions as appropriate
3. Potentially co-facilitate peer support group for those with long-term
conditions
4. Regularly collect and review relevant outcome measures relevant to
patient needs and preferences

Education and Training

1. Undertake relevant clinical training to manage patients with various long-term conditions, with a focus on chronic pain
2. Offer mental health training or training on psychologically-informed care to other non-mental healthcare professions in the community
3. Contribute to the development of information session or psychoeducation material for patients

Service development and research

1. Lead the development and continuous quality improvement of the
