**POST**:Trainer

**LOCATION**:Sheffield

**GRADE: 4**; Salary: £26,775 (FTE) £22,950 (Actual)

**WEEKLY HOURS**:Part-time; 30 hours per week (0.86 FTE)

**Purpose of the Job**:

- To help build capacity and capability in services to ensure that they can respond appropriately to the needs of the people they serve.
- To co-produce learning and development materials, including training, to support agencies to better meet the needs of people experiencing multiple disadvantages.
- To add to the growing body of evidence on what works and what does not in the provision of services for people who have traditionally been more difficult to engage.
- In partnership with the Deputy Director of L&D drive the digital development of training material both internally and externally.

**Main Duties**
- To understand and assess the service needs of people with a lived experience of disadvantage, including barriers to opportunity. This will involve conversations with groups, staff and individuals.
- To identify barriers, gaps and opportunities in service provision.
- To develop and co-produce a range of learning materials, directed at services, that will promote and enhance the end user experience.
- To work with colleagues at Project 6 to identify suitable organisations and opportunities to work with.
- Effectively use technologies, such as video editing and animation software to develop and deliver engaging training.
- To deliver excellent quality training to a broad range of services across Sheffield.
- To record and help evaluate the impact of the training.
- Produce relevant documents and reports in support of the role.
- Attend and contribute to meetings with other staff and partners.
