Dog Day Care Assistant and Walker

As a Dog Daycare Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of dogs in within a small friendly team and provide them with the exercise and attention they need. This position requires a responsible individual who is passionate about animal care and enjoys spending time outdoors whatever the weather.
Please note that this is not a full-time position. Working hours may vary depending on bookings, but only occur on weekdays between 7:40am and 6pm.
**Duties**:
- Care for our dogs in daycare, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Carry out daily cleaning tasks abe contribute to the maintance of our daycare centre including disinfecting to keep the dogs in our care safe and healthy.
- Provide enriching activities and mental stimulation for dogs during their time with us.
- Help with updating each client individuallay on a daily basis
- Interact with our clients face to face upon pick up and drop off providing appropriate feedback in a friendly helpful manner.
- Follow specific instructions provided by dog owners regarding their pets' care.
- Monitor dogs for any signs of illness.
- Clean up after dogs and dispose of waste properly
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred
- Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
- Strong communication skills to interact with dog owners and provide updates on their pets' well-being
- Physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy lifting, as some dogs may be large
- Knowledge of basic veterinary care and first aid for animals is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion to ensure client satisfaction
