**Security Engineer**

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland (Hybrid)

**Salary**: Dependent on experience

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Security Engineer - Hybrid/Flexible working patterns**

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- The engineering, managing and monitoring of security measures which protect company data, services and general infrastructure.
- Taking ownership of security incidents and responding efficiently.
- You will be proactive in the development of technical solutions and new tools which help mitigate risk..
- You will design security architecture and develop cyber security designs in line with requirements.
- Constructing security infrastructure devices and troubleshooting.
- Writing reports detailing finds and outlining designs for future improvement.
- Proactively seek out threats and advise on solutions.

**To be a successful you will possess**:

- Demonstrable career experience working as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer.
- Have experience in a SOC or SecOPS role building and maintaining security systems.
- Demonstrable experience working within security risk management.
- An impressive array of technical knowledge including cloud security in an AWS setting.
- Demonstratable experience of dealing with extensive security systems such as anti-virus software, firewalls, log management and filtering.
- Familiarity with web technologies.
- A deep understanding of network security and associative technologies
- A passion for continued professional development and development of new technologies.

Salary is dependent on experience. Contributory pension schemes are offered alongside other benefits such as contribution to gym memberships and broadband subscriptions. You will receive 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays as well as many other companybenefits.
