Steward

Ardingly College are seeking to recruit a Steward who will be responsible for ensuring that:

- Furniture and equipment is appropriately stored, delivered and placed
- mail and laundry is delivered
- accurately and punctually
- minibuses are clean, tidy, and fit for purpose
- grounds are clean and tidy.

The Steward also provides assistance to all departments in relation to moving goods and materials around the college and is required to drive a minibus to transport students and staff.

**Hours of Work**: 42.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, 8 ½ hour shifts between the hours of 5.30am and 7.30pm. On occasion, there may be a need to cover the security lockup of the campus which would require working from 2pm until 11pm and the Monday morning Clapham bus route which would require starting work at 4:30am.

**Salary**: £21,175 per annum (£24,562 FTE)

**Working periods**:This is a term-time position plus an additional 6 weeks (40 weeks). The additional 6 working weeks will be required during the holiday periods by arrangement with the line manager and is likely to include the first week of July, the last 3 weeks of August and the beginning and end of the Easter holiday period.
