Senior Advisor, Payroll and Benefits

We are partnering with an exciting tech company in their search for Senior Payroll and Benefits advisor to join their team in their central London offices.
**Responsibilities**
Payroll Processing:
- Managing and processing payroll data liaising with People Advisors, Finance Team and the outsourced payroll partner, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations
- Continuously working to improve payroll processes Work with the wider People Team to ensure the efficiency of payroll processes
Benefits Administration:
- Working with insurance brokers and benefits partners, on employee benefits programs, including health insurance, pension, leave policies, and other benefits.
- Be the point of contact in the People Team for employees with benefit questions.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Stay updated on relevant employment legislation, tax regulations, and pension schemes to ensure compliance.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and records.
- Maintain accurate and organised payroll and benefits records. Support colleagues in the People team in providing reporting and analysis to the Chief People Officer.
Data Management and Systems:
- Utilise HRIS and payroll processes to manage employee data, payroll processing, and benefit administration.
Communication and Support:
- Respond promptly and professionally to employee enquiries regarding payroll and benefits. Provide assistance and guidance to employees on payroll related matters.
- Work with HR and Finance Teams to address any payroll or benefits concerns.
**Skills**
- Previous experience of working in a stand-alone payroll role or taking ownership for payroll in a medium sized business desirable
- Knowledge of UK payroll regulations, tax requirements, and pension schemes
- Strong working knowledge of People / HR Processes, data, systems and administration.
- Knowledge and experience of using different HR and payroll systems - specifically HRIS is SagePeople, built on Salesforce
- Comfortable and confident using Excel
- Understanding of the confidential nature of the work and adheres to strict data security/ GDPR requirements
