**About the role**:
We have an opportunity for a PMO Risk and Planning Specialist to join our busy Wholesale Services, Customer Programmes team in Langley, Slough.
In this role, you will be leading the risk management, programme planning and governance as well as championing and promoting the drive for efficiency within the team. As PMO Risk and Planning Specialist you will manage risk management, programme planning andgovernancedocuments, ensuring appropriate corporate and best practice guidelines are implemented and maintained. You will be actively engaging with colleagues throughout the business by working closely with project leads, managers and stakeholders to ensurethat programme risks issues and governance are raised and managed in an appropriate timeframe.
**What you’ll be doing**:
**Risk Management**:

- Produce and maintain the RAIDO document in accordance with our guidelines
- Set programme baselines in accordance with financial baselines and business targets
- Oversee the change control of the program from the perspective of risk
- Communicate and advise on any deviation from agreed programme baselines
- Liaise with Programme Managers, Delivery Leads and PMO Finance in optimising field-based delivery to minimise risk
- Work with Project Managers to promote a culture of Risk capture and mitigation within the team and to understand the root cause of variances to plan
- Liaise with Departmental and Enterprise Risk and Assurance Functions for the purposes of Risk escalation
- Support the PMO in Quarterly Reforecasting (QRF) and Annual Budget Reviews
- Ensure risk have appropriate mitigation plans that are managed to plan and escalate when or if these dates are missed
- Prevent Risks from becoming issues

**Programme Planning and Governance**:

- Support delivery and governance of Programmes and Projects through the development and maintenance of appropriate tools and controls (e.g., trackers, plans, project gates)
- Utilise a variety of tools and trackers to measure progress on CPT projects (Excel, MS Project, Primavera P6, Power BI, etc) as appropriate
- Understand and monitor programme interdependencies
- Report performance against all non-financial deliverables, KPIs and baselines as required for each project

**Drive Efficiency**:

- Liaise with programme managers and operational delivery leads in optimising field-based delivery to optimise delivery and promote efficiency
- Oversee the whole efficiency process and monitor interdependencies
- Support change management/efficiency challenge in providing suitable data to help deliver efficiency targets
- Assist the CPT programme managers in the development of efficiency Initiatives and determining steps to deliver them
- Assist in the removal of blockers and escalate when required to ensure progress on initiatives can continue

**What we’re looking for**:

- Relevant Project / Programme, PMO or Risk Management essential. IRM or MoR qualification is desirable
- Confidence in learning new IT systems and input into system development
- Good Relationship Management and Stakeholder Engagement. Ability to influence stakeholders
- High attention to detail with an ability to work accurately with large data sets
- Identifying trends in data and driving improvements in data quality
- Strong numerical and analytical skills. Experience in Data manipulation and trend analysis
- Management of Risk or IRM Qualified, Prince2, APM
- Experience using SQL, Visual Basic, Power BI, Power Apps is advantageous
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel)
- Proficient in creating Visual Graphical Presentations
