More about the role:
**Role Profile**:
As a Catering Assistant, you will be required to work in an assisted-service environment preparing and serving hot and cold food and beverages therefore you must be highly motivated and focused. You will perform general duties which support the efficient running of the unit in line with contractual requirements.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Ensure you have received the necessary training and highlight areas for further training.
- To ensure you acquire good product knowledge of items sold in your unit in order to be able to advise guests on their product choice and maximise sales opportunities.
- Deliver polite and efficient service in keeping with the Wimbledon Way.
- To ensure all equipment and signage supplied by Official Partners and Suppliers is displayed and used correctly.
- Ensure all transactions are compliant with your PCI and Profit Protection training highlighting any issues or discrepancies with management immediately.
- Comply with all company and unit policies with regards to Health & Safety, Hygiene, Manual Handling, COSHH and Responsible Service of Alcohol.
- Employ a proactive attitude to Health and Safety Regulations and Food & Drink at Wimbledon policies and procedures by not only adhering to them, but actively promoting good safety habits and methods of work within your team.
- Ensure all Food & Drink standards and expectations are delivered and maintained throughout.
- Safeguard all Food & Drink at Wimbledon property, stock, and equipment, following bespoke site procedures.

**Your Role**
- To ensure your unit is set up and operationally ready for opening to the agreed standards and expectations outlined by Food & Drink at Wimbledon, guided by your manager.
- Always consider the “guest journey”, ensuring all front of house areas are kept clean and tidy, queues are managed, and tables are cleared efficiently to encourage the turnover of guests.
- Under the guidance of the culinary and management teams assist with all aspects of preparation, stocking and presentation to the Food & Drink at Wimbledon standards.
- To ensure that all food is prepared with due care and attention, particularly with regards to special dietary requirements, allergens, and shelf life.
- Actively promote the reduction of wastage.
- Ensure all areas, surfaces, equipment, and fridges are regularly cleaned, sanitized and tidied, before, during and at the end of your shift and all necessary paperwork is completed as instructed.
