- The Management System Simplification Project is looking for Technical Specialists to support and deliver simplification and rationalisation of the Magnox Management System. These are key roles in meeting the high-level business priority to simplify the Magnox Management System for the users. The simplification of the Magnox Management System is crucial to improving business efficiency, safety and the well-being of staff. It is a key priority for the Business (referred to as “0-2-20”), acting as an enabler for the significant business expansion ahead. The roles will work across all Magnox processes to simplify the content and presentation of our 21 processes, to help users understand and implement them quickly, efficiently, and safely. The role will require the individual to have strong written skills, be highly IT proficient and have a talent for taking complex concepts and presenting them in ways that make it easy for non-technical users to understand. This role will include supporting workstreams on process re-engineering, process mapping, system navigation and functionality, and digitalisation._

**Your main responsibilities would be**:

- Provide technical writing support to all stakeholders involved in Management System Simplification across the Company.
- Represent the Business Improvement team in technical communication/writing.
- Design content to meet users’ needs and make complex language and processes easy to understand.
- Support the development of innovative approaches to simplifying the content and presentation of all processes within the Magnox Management System. Including working with digital teams to find ways to improve user experience, refine content, and create visuals and diagrams.
- Research, and collaborate with Company experts, to gain sufficient understanding of the Management System and its processes to ensure the updated document are simplified and compliant.
- Deliver simple, easy to read, easy to access Management System documents, considering such factors as the technical knowledge, IT proficiency and neurodiversity of the audience.
- Deliver simplified Management System document templates and promote consistent standards across the suite of Magnox Management System document.
- Promote the discipline of technical writing by producing and sharing best practice of technical writing and content design within the Company and beyond.
- Deliver training, mentoring, and coaching to others, as required to increase use of technical writing principles.
- Support activities in other Management System Simplification workstreams e.g., process re-engineering workshops, development of digital tools, etc.

**You’ll have relevant experience in**:

- Experience of Management System process design and production of management system documents
- Significant period of relevant experience in technical communication/writing.
- Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong desire to present complex concepts in the simplest possible form.
- Experience of writing easy to read documents, expressing complicated concepts using simple words.
- The creativity and IT proficiency to use a variety of digital tools (e.g., process maps, swim lane diagrams etc.) to present processes more visually.

**You will also have these Qualifications/Skills**:

- HNC or Degree (or equivalent) in journalism, communication, or relevant technical field.
- Professional certification (e.g., Society for Technical Communications).
