Road Sweeper Driver

1. Drive mechanical sweepers in accordance with requirements of the Highway Code.

2. Maintain vehicles, plant and machinery in accordance with instructions provided by the Transport and Stores Manager. There is a requirement to complete on a daily frequency a vehicle defect report. Defects identified will be reported on the day to the Workshop Manager. This includes checks of oil, water, fuel, lights, tyres, brakes, brushes and cleansing of vehicle exterior and interior.

3. Sweep road channels, footways and other areas identified in routed schedules. Dispose of collected wastes to disposal sites as directed.

4. Manually remove obstructions from the path of the sweeping equipment which could damage the mechanism of the machine.

7. On completion of daily duties return vehicle to Depot, de-water and cleanse.

8. Report daily work progress and any problems encountered to the Street Cleansing Manager.

9. Carry out any other duties that are within the scope and grading of the post which could also be requested by the line manager or Head of Service.

Pay: £12.00-£20.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Driving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver CPC (preferred)
