Front of House Supervisor

This role is an integral part of the hotel and restaurant team and, working closely with the General Manager, and other front of house staff, you will support Front of House and restaurant operations, including taking responsibility for running the shift on occasions during the manager/deputy’s absence.

You already know and understand what it means to deliver amazing hospitality and will thrive on the challenge of you and your team always exceeding guest expectations. This is very much a hands on role where you will use your exceptional organisational, prioritisation, and strong attention to detail skills to ensure service and quality standards are met at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the reservation and restaurant operation with passion, integrity and knowledge while promoting the Companies culture and values

Maintain exceptional customer service and guest relations

Ensure all reservations are processed in good time, set up correctly, as per the booking details and that system is updated correctly and guests are responded to in good time

Greet Guests and ensure efficient check in to the Company procedures

Provide an efficient and effective food and beverage service at all times and ensure the appearance and cleanliness of the public and outside areas are to a high standard

Be fully conversant with the Company Handbook and supporting policies, including Health & Safety legislation, personal presentation and fire and emergency procedures

Be responsible for start and end of day cash procedures and perform duty management shifts on a rota basis

Maintain good communication between departments on a daily basis

Build and maintain excellent relations with guests, ensuring a professional and friendly manner. Deal with customer feedback/complaints enlisting assistance of the Manager as necessary

Review employee performance with Manager to identify any problems or concerns

Check that minimum stock levels are maintained to the standards required and follow ordering procedures

Be aware of responsibilities and adhere to legislation in respect of licensing, data protection, Health and Safety at Work and COSHH

Requirements & Key Skills

As Front of House Supervisor you are always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

- Previous experience in a customer-focused industry
- Desire to progress within the Hospitality industry
- Positive attitude and good communication skills
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
- Excellent grooming standards
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
- Competent level of IT proficiency
- High skill of team leading
- Training new hires
- Managing workflow
- Helping to resolve employee issues and disputes

Pay: From £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 48 per week
