Sound understanding of mortgage valuations (including redbook reports), Land Registry and Credit Reports (including AML Policy). Production of monthly reports on a RAG basis to show results, themes and to provide insights. Submission of and contribution to reporting (with colleagues) to the Governance, Risk and Compliance Committee. Confident and respectfully providing feedback to the Underwriting Team. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement through the feedback being given. Assist with delivering training and rap session for the Underwriting Team as well as the wide teams in the business. Help ensure company objectives are being met, particularly around remaining compliant. Desired Skills & Experience Essential Previous experience 2 years+ (mandated) in Buy to Let mortgage underwriting role. Knowledge of the full mortgage journey. Previous experience in collating, analysing and presenting data which provides senior management with meaningful insights into the outputs of monitoring activity. Proven track record of taking a proactive, common-sense approach to challenges in previous roles. Ability to provide clear and timely feedback in a collaborative manner. Ability to assist Quality Assurance Team Leader with identifying areas for improvement and highlighting key strengths throughout the function and liaising with other business areas to ensure QA consistency. Ability to manage own workload within deadlines.
