**JOB DESCRIPTION: Brewery Assistant**

**POST TITLE: Brewery Assistant**

**LENGTH OF CONTRACT**

Permanent upon completion of 6 months Probationary Period

**HOURS**

40 hours per week.

Usual Hours are to be worked flexibly between Monday and Friday.

Flexibility is required for earlier starts/earlier finishes and later starts/later finishes, and including evening & weekend working as and when required.

**SALARY**

Meets National Minimum Wage

**REPORTING TO**

The Head Brewer

**RESPONSIBLE FOR**

All tasks in the assistance of the brewing and bottling processes. For example: - working on the bottling production line, cask & keg filling, beer transfers and cleaning.

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

To undertake duties in the support of the brewing, bottling and packaging processes.

To transfer the beers from point to point in the brewing process.

To clean and fill casks/kegs, and other containers.

To set up, run and complete the bottling process, including clean downs.

To maintain an extremely high level of hygiene standards at all times.

To observe good health and safety practices at all times.

To undertake all cleaning procedures in the brewing and bottling process.

To pursue continuous personal development in relation to brewing & packaging methods and standards, e.g. to be willing to attend training courses, and also participate in in-house, on the job training.

To assure full compliance with the policies and procedures of Little Valley Brewery.

10. Given the nature of the role, the above list is not exhaustive and you are expected to be flexible and undertake reasonable additional tasks and duties which arise from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the brewery.

**Salary**: £9.50 per hour
