An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for Clinical Practice Facilitator to join Evelyn Ward. We are looking for an individual who is passionate in teaching, mentoring and guiding staff learning and clinical development.

The Clinical Practice Facilitator will support the continuing education, training and professional development of staff including International Experienced Nurses (IEN). To conduct induction/orientation of newly appointed staff and promoting the acquisition of new skills and knowledge within the specialist area. To support an environment that promotes excellence in nursing practice and development of high levels of clinical skills in trauma and orthopaedics.
- To assist the Surgical PDN and Clinical Nurse manager to monitor and evaluate clinical practices, ensuring practice is research/evidence-based and participate in regular audits of standards in line with the Trust’s commitment to Clinical Governance.
- Undertaking analysis of audits and in conjunction with Matrons develop action plans to address deficiencies.
- Promoting the development of a creative learning culture, encouraging all staff to participate in lifelong learning initiatives, valuing daily practice as a reflective learning opportunity where learning can be applied directly to practice.
- Developing, delivering, and evaluating formal/informal teaching sessions and work-based learning programmes in order to support the professional and practice development of registered nurses and the multi-disciplinary teams with whom they work.
- Contribute towards initiatives that result in changes to existing practice and systems of professional working.
- Support staff of all grades with using reflective and quality improvement principles to adapt to changes in practice.
- To monitor and co-ordinate education initiatives within the speciality
