**Team Leader - Preston**

**Monday-Friday; between 8am - 6.30pm**

**1 in 6 Saturdays; 8am - 5pm (37.5 hours per week)**

Davies Group are currently looking for a Team Leader to support a busy claims team within our Preston office with occasional travel to other sites. Joining Davies as our new Team Leader means that you’ll play a key part in managing a team dedicated to the management of claims for numerous clients. So, you’ll need to come to us with a strong Claims background, and the appetite to lead a team in a fast-paced and continually evolving environment.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Ownership and oversight of the claims handling team, including management of team workload
- Development of claims handlers to achieve client SLA’s via support and coaching
- Ensure a high level of staff engagement
- Attend Client Review Meetings where appropriate
- Conducting regular performance and audit reviews, include annual PDR’s
- Managing claims handler absences
- Continuous improvement focus leading excellent customer service and technical delivery of claims
- Complaint escalation point
- Ensure Key Performance Indicator targets are reached and maintained.
- Oversight of payment audit approval process to defined limits
- Involvement in recruitment and interview processes for claims handler/administrator roles

- A genuine passion for people management
- The confidence and gravitas to act as an efficient escalation point: Claims and team related queries / Complaints
- Experience of Customer Service and Claims Management in an insurance background.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- The ability to organise own workload.
