We are looking for someone to join us as a Facilities Mechanical Officer in our Estates & Facilities Department. Could you be who we are looking for?
About the team/Department you will be joining:
Located at the Estates Office, Headquarters Bridgend.
About the role and your key responsibilities:
We are looking for a dedicated individual with plumbing experience to join our Mechanical Team in providing testing and support services across the South Wales Police area. The successful person will undertake routine testing of boilers and mechanical systems to ensure compliance with National Standards and will also provide on-call cover for building emergencies.
What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:
- Provide general information to customers (internal and external), on the phone, face-to-face and electronic, based on existing departmental procedures****:
- Carry out repair and maintenance duties as requested and provide assistance and support to trades people as instructed.
- To carry out general administrative duties which may include:
- Word processing/keyboarding
- Formatting documents
- Co-ordination of office diaries
- Ordering
- Operate associated machinery/equipment which is essential to the role
