We are looking for an Assistant Registrar at our Centre of English Studies language school in Worthing to assist our Registrar with the general day to day running of the front office, student enrollments and assisting with all administration tasks as necessary.

**Main Responsibilities**
- To assist the Registrar in the smooth running of the front office and registration department.
- Inputting student enrollments onto our system and sending relevant documentation to agents.
- Assisting with welcoming students on their first day, taking copies of their passports and visas. Helping students adjust to life in England by answering questions and providing them with necessary information in a friendly and articulate manner.
- Inputting visa and passport and other student information onto our database system.
- Organising first day welcome packs and ID cards.
- Collecting personal details forms for all new students and saving them onto the shared computer drive.
- Assisting the Assistant Registrar to collate flight details for weekend arrivals, in order for transfers to be booked.
- Assisting in checking the whereabouts of students under the age of 18 and making the relevant departments aware of any student absences.
- Assisting with the recruitment of new host families as and when necessary. This could include leafleting/ visiting local businesses/ helping to recruit in town.
- Answering phones/ taking messages/ transferring calls to relevant departments.
- Sharing the 24-hour emergency phone provided by the school.
- To provide exceptional customer service to students and group leaders at all times.
- To assist students and others with enquiries and requests efficiently and effectively
- To be helpful and courteous to students and their representatives.

**Person Specification**
- Essential_
- 1-2 years experience in an admininstrative role
- Experience in working in a customer-facing environment
- Ability to work in a team
- Willingness to take responsibility of own tasks
- Proven organisational / administrative skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Flexibility, adaptability and ability to cope with a fast-paced and changeable industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and high level of data accuracy
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office
- Desirable_
- Administrative experience in a language school
