**JOB TITLE: HSE Coordinator**

**REPORTING TO: Regional EHS Manager**

**LOCATION: Cooper and Turner Sheffield**

**Overall Goal**:
To ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are adhered to in a safe manner whilst maintaining a high quality of work, working towards set deadlines and targets in the most efficient and productive way.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- Supporting Management and Supervision in improving Health, Safety and Environmental performance & engagement.
- Accountable for ensuring that Accident / Incident investigations are suitably progressed by supervisors and managers, communicating outcome to management at relevant meetings, health, and safety notice boards.
- Actively involved with the internal auditing program for 45001 & 14001.
- Liaise with senior managers, employees, contractors, and other external bodies.
- Accountable for providing professional expertise in the risk assessment process and safety inspection program, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are engaged.
- Accountable for the provision and delivery of HSE related training programs.
- Delivery of monthly reports of key health and safety data.
- Focusing on prevention by keeping up with equipment maintenance and training.
- Sharing information, suggestions, and observations.
- Meeting company health and safety goals.
- Compile waste submissions.
- Carryout monitoring and measuring exercises.

**Essential Skills required**:
You will need to demonstrate evidence of the following:

- Internal auditing
- A practical understanding of workplace activities.
- Proven leadership and co-ordination skills.
- Computer literate and able to master our internal software packages.
- Planning and organizing skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, easily approachable.
- Good communication skills
- Problem solving through creative thinking and analytical skills.
- A driving licence - essential for jobs involving travel between sites.
- Work to deadlines
- Work alone and as part of a team.

**Desirable experience**:

- Nebosh General certificate.
- Environmental Qualification.
- Auditing experience in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

**A background, or experience in, Engineering, FMCG or Manufacturing may be useful.**

**Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday: 7am - 15.30pm and Friday 7am - 14.30pm.**
**However, as your position is one of responsibility, it is expected that you will work the hours.**
