Forklift Driver

Our client, a leading supplier of containers for hire, sales and self-storage are recruiting for a Forklift Driver/Yard Assistant

**The Role**:
Working for the Branch Manager and with Operations colleagues, the Yard Assistant is responsible for maintain the tidying of the Yard, maintaining the containers to ensure they are kept in good condition and loading/unloading HGVs.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Forklift operations, checking and preparing containers for dispatch, checking and reporting on the condition of containers returning from hire. Preparing and painting used containers. Pre delivery check temporary Accommodation units for hire.

**Key relationships**:
Branch Manager, customers, branch staff and third party HGV drivers.

**Reports to**:
Branch Manager

**Person Specification**:
Essential - Forklift licence/certificate
- 10 tonne

Desirable - Experience of using abrasive wheels and paint sprayers

Desirable - Experience of working on accommodation or container site

**Working hours**:
Full time Monday to Thursday 8.00 a.m - 4.30 p.m and Friday 8.00 a.m to 3.30 p.m, although reduced hours would be considered.

**Salary**: £12.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

- Hamilton, ML3 6AD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
