Rapid Diagnostic Navigator

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen as a Rapid Diagnostic Centre Administrator. The post holider will provide specialist knowledge for the pathway of cancer patients across Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. You will facilitate the smooth running of the patient journey by ensuring that the pathway is co-ordinated, streamlined and all processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs.

The successful applicant will work directly and indirectly with patients and their carers, and be responsible for capturing information about patients, ensuring up-to-date relevant information is recorded on the patient record and Trust systems. It is important that you have a good knowledge and understanding of patient complete pathways.

As a key requirement of this role, the post holder will have excellent communication and organisational skills, together with a high attention to detail and levels of accuracy.

This newly created role is pivotal to the implementation of a new rapid diagnostic pathway for patients with suspected gastro-intestinal cancer.
