We are looking for an enthusiastic highly motivate and hard working individual to join our friendly team in a very busy small animal practice.

You will be responsible for supporting all colleagues by maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the practice, supporting the reception area and caring for animals under the supervision of qualified nurses and surgeons.

Responsibilities include;
- Clean, maintain and sterilise consumables, surgical instruments and kits required for procedures. As well as, monitoring and maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout the practice according to daily, weekly and monthly checklists.
- Maintaining stock in the clinical areas through restocking and ordering as required.
- Support nurses by undertaking aspects of patient care and hygiene, as well as assisting with recovery of patients from anaesthesia and within surgery.
- Dealing with clients over the phone and face to face when admitting or discharging patients, as well as supporting the reception team in busy periods.
- Undertake any other duties as may be required of you in this post and to ensure your own safety and the safety of others at all times.

The role would be best suited to a person who enjoys working as part of a team, has a strong ability to complete tasks by following instruction and under their own initiative, as well as being an organised and efficient in day to day tasks.

A qualification or experience in Animal Management is preferred, but not essential.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 29 per week

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour
