Trainee Behaviour Mentor

A school in Carmarthen are looking to appoint a full-time trainee behaviour mentor to work with a year 9 pupil that displays challenging behaviours. You will be working with the pupil to remove obstacles to their learning and will often use sport and outdooractivities as a de-escalation tool.
The school acters for pupils who have social emotional behavioural difficulties which co-exist with other conditions such as autism, ADHD, and anxiety. The pupils often struggle to engage with work and to concentrate within lessons and require a positivementor to help overcome disruptive behaviour and help pupils enjoy educationand learning.
The ideal trainee behaviour mentor:
- Will have an outgoing personality
- Shows resilience and is unphased under pressure
- Has a background in sports or coaching
Working with Teaching Personnel
- Minimum hourly rate of £10.77
- Behaviour management training to be provided
- Weekly pay through PAYE (every Friday)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
